Biography Projects!!!

Don't forget, rough drafts are due for ALL classes on Tuesday, March 1st!

Double-check...Do you have:

  • a powerful statement in your introduction and conclusion?
  • a clear thesis sentence that is an opinion?
  • your thesis stated in the introduction AND conclusion?
  • three clear main ideas in your body?
  • a topic sentence for each body paragraph (2-4)?
  • a transition sentence for each body paragraph?

It's best if rough drafts are typed (easier for me AND you)...and it should DEFINITELY BE DOUBLE-SPACED!!!

Blog issues

Hi all, I have heard that many people have had trouble lately using the LA blog. So sorry! I am working on trying to fix the problem now. I changed the background, hoping somehow it has something to do with it. But I'm not sure.

Are there any tech-savvy people out there who have some insight on this? Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful! Thanks!

Biography Project: Step One

Hello students and families! This quarter, students will be completing a biography project on a significant, famous person. Most students have already selected their person and should be searching for reliable sources to use in research.

Here is some other important info on the project:

-5 paragraph essay

-About a well-known person

-3 or more sources cited in a correct bibliography
*at least one should not be from the Internet
*No Wikipedia, blogs, or other unreliable sources

-Project length: about one month

Here is a link to the biobliography/source card handout students received in class!
